We'll tell you about Wood Spirits, then describe our walking sticks.  In pagan times, it was believed that Wood Spirits lived in forests and protected the forests and all those with pure spirits who entered the forests.  Hunters and woodsmen used to knock on a large old tree to awaken the Wood Spirit to protect them from harm.  Hence, the origin of the expression "knock on wood."  Some of us still knock on wood for good luck or to ward off evil.  Our walking sticks are carved in Pennsylvania out of poplar, beech, or sassafras dried saplings.  They are 48" to 52" long, 1" to 1 ¼" in diameter, have rubber caps at their tips and are protected by two coats of exterior polyurethane varnish.  The Wood Spirits are carved into the wood by hand.  Each Wood Spirit has its own personality and works at its own will.  A great companion to support and protect you on your walks. $ 32 each

South Sea shell pearls are imitation or simulated pearls.  They are made in a laboratory from South Sea oyster shells--the same mollusk shells the expensive South Sea pearls come from.  The mollusk shells are cut and pulverized, then high powered sprayers and ovens are used to coat a mother-of-pearl nucleus with layers and layers of that powder.  Mother-of-pearl nucleus, modern technology, and strict quality control come together to create a beautiful shell pearl product.  These man-made South Sea shell pearls look so much like the natural South Sea pearls, that it is very hard to tell their difference--except in their price.  A natural South Sea pearl necklace would cost about five thousand dollars. $ 38 each matching earrings with sterling silver earbacks $ 8/pair
